The book, published this April by Red Oak Publishing, LLC, was written by Szeker, a popular BookTok content creator herself, and is listed as an 'adult dystopian romance set in an asylum.' Readers were outraged by a transgender character called Charlotte who pays to hire a child sex slave, who later turns out to be her own son.
